Project Legacy, a public-private partnership between TruEvolution and the Housing Authority of the County of Riverside, is a housing development project that addresses the immediate housing needs of vulnerable and underserved populations in Riverside County.
Located in the Inland Empire, this region disproportionately experiences health inequities, disparities in access to care, lack of affordable housing, and chronic homelessness.
Through a one-of-a-kind community campus model, Project Legacy devotes its efforts to the needs of our region’s most vulnerable communities: those experiencing co-occurring conditions and chronic homelessness.
Residential bungalows and comprehensive supportive services co-exist in the same location, creating 49 client beds of transitional housing, on-site primary and specialty health services, mental health clinic, workforce and job training center, fitness center, and community garden.
This has been a long-term effort that has spanned several years, with support and advocacy from various legislative, community, and private entities. TruEvolution sends a heartfelt thank you to all who have lent their time, assistance, and expertise to this project. We are deeply grateful for the contributions that brought this vision to reality and marked a significant milestone for the surrounding Inland Empire community.
This is an important year for us; it’s the year we open the doors to Project Legacy and welcome our clients into transitional housing.
None of this would be possible without you: our friends, our supporters, our confidants. Thank you for believing in our vision.
